“AthensCon is the first convention held in Greece that will be heavily influenced by worldwide Comic-Cons and conventions promoting popular interests of our times. It is a celebration of modern pop culture and hobbies related to it; a celebration of a culture originating from both society itself and the Arts, always touching people in a unique and profound way.”
My goal there, was not to shoot like a photojournalist, but to capture funny “backstage” moments, the human behind the superhero/comic/anime costume. Also to make a few selfies with the very talented Angeliki Salamaliki as i promised to her. Of course i wanted to have a few pictures with Darth Vader, or sitting on the Game of Thrones throne, which was probably the main attraction and had the largest queue.
Se here you go, next time you should put on your costume and visit too
Well there were a few pictures that didn’t fit my main concept, but were too cool so i just add them here, a few artists
and of course my selfie with Angeliki, it was her dream that came true, a glorious day in her life so far.
And my main goal to sit on the Throne, me on the left, Sub-Zero in the middle pretending to be Amlet of thrones (a bit confusing combination), and my friend Kostas Spanos on the right.
